How to actually run a course of treatment

Shave the area the day before rather than the minute before, so the light reaches the follicle instead of the hair above the skin, then work in small overlapping sections at a comfortable power setting and step the power up once you know how your skin reacts. IPL is a course, not a single session: the results appear over weeks of regular use, and the maintenance sessions afterwards are what keep them. Patch-test on a small area and leave it a day before treating any larger area.

The supplier's published delivery window for United States addresses is 4 to 10 days, and tracking is emailed once the parcel is dispatched. Standard shipping is $8.00, orders of $125.00 or more ship free, and express delivery is $15.00. Any customs duty or handling fee raised on arrival is the recipient's responsibility.

Good to know

• Not for use on dark skin tones or on white, grey or red hair - the light has no pigment to target, and dark skin carries a real risk of burns.
• Never use it over a tattoo, a mole, a birthmark or broken skin, and stay away from the eyes.
